Welcome my friends, Im honored you stopped by. Please feel free to leave me a note, say Hi or ask questions. My belief is that Yoga is the marriage of breath and body, a path of cultivating a deeper intimacy with our lives and one another. I have always experienced the practice of yoga as a direct participation with life, and my classes are steeped in the Bhakti Yoga tradition, the yoga of Devotion. Through chanting and affirmation to see God in all and all as God.
The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita remind us that we cannot be just anyone we simply want to be and that our one and only shot at a fulfilled life is being fully who we are. Yoga brings us hOMe to our truest self, not the imagined self. As we RE-discover the light within ourselves we show up in the world awake, conscious and kinder and able to celebrate each-others light.
When practiced together, asana (postures), pranayama (mindful breathing) and dhyana (meditation) create a flexibility in the body and mind which awakens a sense of peace, equanimity, and unity. With dedicated practice (abhyasa), we learn to acquire freedom (moksha) in all realms - physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
